Prophecy Fulfilled
Our Lord actually says: They will drag you to court…, but I shudder when I read such articles above because I couldn’t have in my wildest imagination conceive that Catholics in any cadre of the church, would fall into the group of those referred to, much less any in the most revered reverend status blatantly and proudly standing out to be counted as being part of this: working against clearly stated injunctions of the Bible.
Catholics in representative positions are known to, at least in relating with and relaying to the public, try to uphold every inch of the word of God and this has always gone a long way to underscore the unique marks of unity, universality, apostolicity and holiness of the church, giving hope to her members and to the general humans population who in the deepest closet of their hearts look up to her as the beacon of assurance that such elements can still hold in some quarters in a world that generally stands in dire need of them. However, there are some who are bent on reneging on their promise on this and by their actions exposing the church and thus subjugating her to the powers and standards of the world by either closing their eye to or doing a pick and choose of what Biblical injunctions to go by?
Consider 1 st Corinthians,
1 If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people? 2 Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? 3 Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! 4 Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, do you ask for a ruling from those whose way of life is scorned in the church? 5 I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers? 6 But instead, one brother takes another to court—and this in front of unbelievers! 7 The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? 8 Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brother.”
The above quotation is enough to put a stop to any desire to carry out such an action, but instead we have preposterous back and forth actions that are now the trend
To show how right the Bible is, even from bible times, the secular authorities drawing our attention to what’s already written in the Bible have refused to meddle in the things of God because the know the don’t have the capacity, the faculty and most importantly the spirit to dabble into such matters.
Pontius Pilate who was virtually coerced into pronouncing judgement on our Lord, looked for a way to extricate themselves from the entanglements of something he knew shouldn’t be involved in and Gallio must have learnt from the fallout of this mistake this, so he was quick to say when being dragged into such in Acts 18
15 “But since it involves questions about words and names and your own law—settle the matter yourselves. I will not be a judge of such things.”
And so, the world watches, playing out in our day, likely shocked , a similar scenario reminiscent of what happened in Acts 25 when there was a shuttle too until Paul had to appeal to see the Emperor.
Tangled dispute

It was said that “They later added defamation charges after Olson made the allegations against Gerlach public in an announcement on the diocesan website.
The lawsuit was dismissed June 30 when the county court ruled the allegations were church matters, not civil law issues. At a hearing, testimony said the alleged relationship was only via phone and not in person.
Also on June 30, the Arlington Police Department announced both of its criminal investigations were closed and no charges would be filed against either party. The nuns had asked the police to investigate Olson’s actions at the monastery; the diocese asked the police to investigate allegations of illegal cannabis use there.
The nuns planned to appeal their lawsuit being dismissed. They later dropped that idea when Vatican officials said they would not hear Gerlach’s appeal of her dismissal from the Carmelites until any civil cases were resolved”.
We must acknowledge all the wonderful works being done by every segment of the church a good example of one which is stated in the following publication:
I can’t just fathom however how this would make any segment feel so important and self sufficient as to start dictating to superiors how things are to be done. Disobedience and insubordination is one thing that is intolerable in the Catholic Church and let it be known that this is in deference to the what happens in heaven as there beyond all else, obedience is the first law.
